Grand re-opening of The Other Shop, 1036 Main Street, Honesdale, May 1, 2, 3rd. The onetime consignment store is now a donations-only shop and it has a new look. Ribbon cutting 9:30 am on May 1st. Refreshments and activities.
It’s got a new look and a new way of doing business, and on May 1, 2, and 3rd, the public is invited to a grand re-opening of the “new” Other Shop on Main Street in Honesdale. A ribbon cutting is planned for 9:30am on Thursday, May 1st, but activities, including a gift basket raffle, will continue through Saturday.
The Other Shop, operated by the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, now takes donations only and calls itself a thrift shop rather than a consignment store. “We have a lot of terrific items, everything from fancy-label clothes and shoes to knick knacks,” said Sandy Kline, co-chair of The Other Shop. “And we renovated the store interior and the windows overlooking Main Street, so we’re really proud to show it all off. Come visit—donate and shop!”
Kline and fellow Chair Sheila Davis oversaw the renovation and reopening, along with Cathy Howell, Karen Hunt and Mary Radell. Store design was done by Heather Holmes-Komar and Anthony Komar. The Other Shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am-3pm; Wednesday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm
