One Man Dead in Williamsport Shooting; Arrest Warrant Issued for Suspect

Police say that 32-year-old Rashwan Williams shot another man outside of a hookah lounge in downtown Williamsport on the morning of June 1st.
Williamsport, Lycoming County - Police in Lycoming County have a warrant out for the arrest of 32-year-old Rashwan Williams.

Investigators told Eyewitness News that Williams is believed to have shot and killed another man outside the Lamphouse Hookah Lounge, June 1st.

Kendra Domino lives right across the street from The Hookah Lounge. She told Eyewitness News she heard a lot of commotion outside of her window right after the shooting happened.

"I was sleeping and I heard loud yelling outside from some girls," Domino recalled. "I looked out the window and saw a whole bunch of cops. I heard some guys yelling too."

Domino was able to take a picture of all the activity.
   
"I woke my sister up because I was scared," she said. "I was like, 'Leena i think someone just died'."

According to police, Williams shot another man outside The Hookah Lounge, which is on the 400 block of West Third Street in Williamsport, around 3 AM on June 1st.

The victim died at the hospital.

Domino told Eyewitness News that yelling can be heard outside of the Lamphouse Hookah Lounge almost every weekend.

According to officers with the Williamsport Police Department, Williams didn't know the man he shot. Investigators said the two were involved in some sort of argument that started at another bar and that the two eventually ended up at The Hookah Lounge.

Karen Marlett, a Montoursville resident, was eating breakfast at Mom's Deli & Diner, which is next door to The Hookah Lounge. Marlett told Eyewitness News she was shocked to hear about the shooting.  

"The cook, and owner "Mom", came out and said that someone had been shot right outside," she said. "I was really surprised."

According to police, the man who was killed was a 30-year-old hispanic man from North Carolina. Investigators say he was in the area working on a construction project.
