Newsmakers to Feature Volunteers of America Dec. 12

Volunteers of America will be the focus of this Sunday's Newsmakers
 on WBRE TV. 

Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and Lead I-Team Reporter Andy Mehalshick host the public affairs program.

    They will have as their guests Bill Jones, Vice President of Volunteers of America and Jean  Zaleskas,  program supervisor for the agency.

     Volunteers of America is one of the nation's oldest social service agencies. The agency's mission is to uplift and reach all people through its programs and services.

    The panel will discuss the many programs Volunteers of America offers for all members of the community. The panel will focus some of the local program including Manna house-transitional housing for young adults, Caring Alternatives that helps pregnant women, The VOA Family Thrift Store, in addition to a multitude of programs for young families, the elderly and for those with disabilities.   

    Newsmakers will air Sunday, December 12 at 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on WBRE TV. The program will rebroadcast on WBRE on December 19th at 5:30 a.m.  Newsmakers will also air on WYOU on Saturday, December 18th at 6 a.m.
