Pine Grove, Schuylkill County -- People in Schuylkill County are picking up the pieces after an old factory caught fire.

The flames destroyed the vacant building in Pine Grove, and many neighbors will need to replace the siding on their homes because the heat was so intense.

They said the building was a canoe factory before it became a water company, but it has been falling apart for years.

One neighbor told us that crews were tearing it down gradually, but he was nervous that something like this would happen.

Officials said one firefighter was treated for minor injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
