More Dogs Found in Animal Abuser Suspects Home

2 more dogs were taken from the home of John Tanis, of Moosic. He is court ordered to only have 1 dog pending the outcome of an animal cruelty case.

UPDATE:More dogs were spotted on the property of a man who is already facing animal abuse charges in Lackawanna County.
  
Less than a week ago, John Tanis was given a stern warning by the judge to only have one dog while awaiting trial.

But, Monday night it appears he did not listen to that warning, as 2 dogs were confiscated.

Lackawanna County man awaiting trial on animal cruelty charges will not get jailtime for violating his bail.
 
     John Tanis of Moosic faced a judge this morning on a bail violation hearing.
      The judge gave him a stern warning he's only allowed to have one dog, and "no jail time".
       More dogs were seized Thursday from Tannis' home as he waits  trial on animal cruelty charges
    He told  Reporter Eric Deabill at the scene he is being harassed by animal right's groups over his pets.

   Back in December a judge told Tanis that he was only allowed to have one dog while he awaiting trial.
   Thursday, police went to his Main Street home and seized four dogs.
    Those dogs will temporarily be placed with foster families through Tracey's hope rescue group.
    They now have a total of 27 dogs who have been seized from Tanis' home.
    Tracey's Hope is in desperate need of donations to help care for the dogs.
    Donations can be made at the Penn Security Bank and Trust Branch in Duryea.
