Memorial Day Services were held on May 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion, Raymond Henry Post #327, Willow Street, Olyphant, PA.


The Guest Speaker was Commandant Joel Sofranko, Native of Olyphant, , Marine Corps League Northeastern Detachment in Scranton, Pa.  Commander Ed London of Post #327, was the officiate of the event.  American flags were passed out to over 150  adults and children that attended the ceremony in front of the Monuments 'In honored memory of the men and women of Olyphant  whom made the Supreme Sacrifice." for the WWI and WWII Monument, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

A  lunch of hot dogs, wimpies, salads, cake and soda sponsored by the Woman's Auxiliary of Post #327 and the American Legion members.  Veteran Vincent Narcoonis,, also of Olyphant, was introduced as a Veteran of Vietnam War and he proudly wore his Purple Heart Medal.
