PEANUT BUTTER CUP BARS

If you’re looking to have one last chocolate fling before starting your new year's resolution, then check out what we’re making today.

Christmas might be behind us, but there's still plenty of entertaining ahead. And whether you're having a new year's get-together or gearing up for playoff parties, you're going to want a dessert that everyone can help themselves to without any hassle. Well, there's no need to look through your recipe box 'cause the bars we're making today are just the thing. And you only need 5 everyday staples to whip these up. We begin by mixing together some peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs until it’s smooth. Then we dump this onto a baking sheet and pat it down so it totally covers the bottom. (You want to make sure you pack it down firmly.)  Now we melt some semi-sweet chocolate chips in our microwave (takes only about a minute). Once that's smooth, we spread it over our peanut butter layer. The key here is to make sure the chocolate is spread evenly. Then into the fridge it goes for a few minutes to firm up. Easy enough. All that's left to do is cut it them into bars and then chill them completely before serving. You see, the combo of the chocolate and the peanut butter makes these taste just like peanut butter cups … maybe even better. So what are you waiting for? Go online and get our “Peanut Butter Cup Bar” recipe so you'll be ready no matter what you’re celebrating. I’m Howard in the Mr. Food Test Kitchen, where every day we’re looking for more sinfully delicious ways for you to say … “OOH IT’S SO GOOD!!”
