  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  May 15, 2014.
 
  The Wilkes-Barre Fine Arts Fiesta opened today.  The event runs through Sunday.  There are a number of artists displaying their work.  There is entertainment, food and plenty to enjoy.  Please support the arts!
 
  Please support our men and women in the Military! The Armed Forces Parade in Downtown Scranton is this Saturday, May 18  at 11:00 a-m.  The parade begins Outside the Gino Merli Veterans Center.
  Everyone is invited to show their support by lining the streets

 
  Program Reminder...Tonight at 11 pm on Eyewitness News- The I-Team's Laurie Monteforte takes a look at prescription drug addiction in our communities.  I encourage you to tune in- this is a wake up call for young people, parents and our communities.  Laurie will introduce you to several people who allowed prescription drugs to take over their lives.

 Local Artist/Photographer Diane Grant Czajkowski art and photography are on display at Barnes and Noble on 7 South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre.  The Exhibit will be part of the Fine Arts Fiesta in Wilkes-Barre.  The artwork and photographs will be on display until May 31.

 

 A gymanfa ganu --Welsh hymn festival --returns to West Scranton after a five year hiatus. This is the first one held at Trinity Congregational Church, UCC in about thirty years. Trinity is at 229 S. Main Avenue,Scranton. The gymnfa is May 18th,at 4:15. Everyone is invited to share this day.






  On PA LIVE -

  In the PA Live Kitchen- Our friends from Doc Magrogan's Oyster House are in the kitchen.  On the menu today- Pan Seared Salmon with Sweet Potato and Crab Meat Hash. 

  Get ready to rock!  We will have a live performance from the "Sucker Band".

  Then James May from PennDOT will join us to talk about construction projects.

 
 


On Eyewitness News at Five- Dawn Miller is in today for  Katherine Lachette as your producer-

  A cab driver is shot in Williamsport.  The search is on for the gunman.  Valerie Tysanner will have an update on the story she first told us about on Eyewitness News at 11 am and Noon.

 
  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick will have more on the shooting investigation underway in Wilkes-Barre.  One person shot near a home on Hutson Street.
 

  Plus we will feature the Cunningham family who are very grateful to the "March of Dimes" for their dedication, research and services.  Candice Kelly will have our story.
 

 


 


 On Eyewitness News at 6 and 11  Lindsay Keeler  is your producer 

 
  The latest on a house fire in Mocanaqua.  The fire is under investigation.  Eyewitness News Reporter Kelly Choate will be live at the scene with the story.

  Plus a Lackawanna Co Sheriff's Deputy and Part time Olyphant police officer is arrested on DUI and assault charges.  Eric Deabill will have our story.




  On Eyewitness News at Seven on WYOU-  An update of all the day's news.  Plus, here is what else I, (Jayne Ann)  will have for you. 

  The Kiwanis Club of Wilkes-Barre  honored Tanya Olaviany, program director Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge today
