  I am very excited- we have some celebrities coming to our Newsroom-  Elmo and Cookie Monster will be visiting PA Live-  they are going to perform-  "Cookie Crumba Rumba".

  Ladies and Gentlemen Dinner is Served:  Are you a Downton Abbey Fan-  Here is a great event  A Downton Abbey Fundraising dinner and Silent Auction to benefit Northeast Ballet will be held on Saturday, March 29th.  The event is hosted by The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion. The most recent new member to join the Pike Chamber is the PASS organization; also known as Pike Autism Support Services of NEPA, Inc.  The mission of the Pike Autism Support Services to empower, support and educate families and friends of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders by assisting and encouraging parents to be informed participants in their child's education and be effective advocates on their behalf.

The Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Program, the official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant, will crown a Miss Greater Hazleton and Miss Greater Hazleton's Outstanding Teen on March 8th.  (Read more under the Community Link)

 

  On PA LIVE -
 Today is the first day of Lent -  John Costello from the Brown Barn Cafe in Shavertown is in the PA Live Kitchen;  Chef Costello will whip up a delicious meatless dish - fish tacos!
 
  Special guests Elmo and Cookie Monster will join us from Sesame Street Live... coming to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township.  They'll perform the "Cookie Crumba Rumba"  for us!

 Plus, it's Part 3 of Jasmine on the job. Today's she's a dog groomer!
