  On this day in Baseball History- January 29, 1936- the first five member of Baseball's Hall of Fame were named in Cooperstown New York.  Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, "Honus" Wagner,  Walter Perry Johnson and Factoryville's very own-"Christy" Mathewson.  Mathewson played for Bucknell!
 

 

  Ken Brown is getting us ready for the Super Bowl!  Ken will be live in New Jersey the site of Super Bowl 48!  Ken looked very cold last night during his live shot! 

  Tim Kelchner will have a Going for the Gold report as we near the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.

  Operatic soprano Caroline Worra will present a free recital Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the Rooke Recital Hall of the Weis Music Building at Bucknell University.


  Also at Bucknell- The Observatory at Bucknell University will host a Family Night Friday, Feb. 7, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.  The event, which will be held rain or shine, will focus on activities for children and their families. It is free and open to the public


Non-profit organizations in Lackawanna County are invited to apply for monetary donations of up to $300.00 from the Junior League of Scranton.


 Marywood University's Psychological Services Center will offer free, confidential anxiety screenings on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., in the McGowan Center on the university's campus. The free screenings are open to the public and to all ages.
