  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  January 16, 2014

  The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are getting ready for baseball.  The team along with Lackawanna County are sponsoring an indoor mural competition for the entrance of the Mohegan Sun Club at PNC Field.  (More information on this can be found under our Community Link).
  They are also looking for people to sing the National Anthem. Tryouts will be held at the Steamtown Mall in downtown Scranton on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (More information on this can be found under our Community Link).

  The Two Mountain District Winter Fun Day is coming to Kirby Park Saturday January 18th 2014 from Noon until 3:00pm. Winter Fun Day is open to all cub scouts and their families.

  Happy Anniversary!  The Vintage Theater of Scranton is celebrating its fifth anniversary.  The celebration will feature a grand gala on Saturday, January 18.  There is also an event on January 17th.

  The folks from Edith's Kitchen in Catawissa are in the PA Live  Kitchen.  Chicken and Mushrooms are on the menu.

  Plus  a sample of the latest Disney on Ice Show to play at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township. "Passport to Adventure".

  Police make an arrest in a deadly Good Samaritan Crash back in October.  Eyewitness News Reporter Eric Deabill will have more on the story he first  broke at Noon.

  Mark Hiller is checking out the latest information on the fire that damaged the Buckrun Mansion in Schuylkill County last week.

  J-C Penney's in the Laurel Mall near Hazleton is on the list to close in May.  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick takes a look at what that means to the local economy and the Mall.
