  The Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association Newsletter is on line.  Check it out- as they say there is always something going on in Downtown Wilkes-Barre. 


David Engel's Pirate School will come to the Weis Center for the Performing Arts stage at Bucknell University on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m.  The family-friendly matinee is free; tickets are not required. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Bring along a canned good for a donation.

  A big road project under way in Lackawanna County- Power Lines are being installed- and more work is expected for later this week.  Eric Deabill is on the road for this story.


  The Nurses at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital staged a one day strike.  Jasmine Brooks talks with the nurses about their dispute.


  The landmark Mifflinburg Tavern will be closed for an extended period of time after a fire. 




 
  On Eyewitness News at 6 and 11  - is in for Lindsay Keeler  is your producer  . 

  A mother and daughter are rescued from a burning building in Hazleton.  The fire at the Diamond Avenue home is under investigation.  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick will have the story.
