I am Summer, come to lure you away from your computer... come dance on my fresh grass, dig your toes into my beaches. ~Oriana Green, @NatureSpirits  (A Quote from the Quote Garden)

Enjoy your weekend!  Some youngsters are heading back to class this week!  The summer is flying by quickly!  Lot to do this weekend Little League World Series Wraps up!  Pittston Tomato Festival, Garlic Festival in Drums at Zanolini Nursery, Wally Lake Fest in Lake Wallenpaupack!  No complaining! There is plenty to do!  Information these events and more under our community link and check out “What’s Happening”.

I am preparing my lyrics and have my old “Donny and Marie” microphone ready-why?  Because Eyewitness Sports-Ken Brown, AJ Donatoni and Photojournalist Rich Charneski need an anthem!

The Eyewitness Sports department has launched a contest to find the new sound of their Friday Night High School Football Show. We are seeking original material from local bands and musicians to use as a part of our show open. Songs should be no longer than :45 in length and will be aired each and every Friday. What better way to have your sound heard than on television? Those who are interested can send their submissions to SportsAnthem@PAHomePage.com. We will narrow the field down to a handful of our top selections and open the contest for voting by our viewers. The new 'sound' of the Friday Night Football Show will debut on Week 5 of the high school football season. Use the first couple of weeks to draw some inspiration from our show and get your submissions in by the week of September 15th.
