Willjam Productions concert promoter Jim Anderson and members of the Luzerne County Convention Center Authority and SMG Management Team announced today the 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary Memorial Fund of the Luzerne Foundation as the beneficiary of partial proceeds from the Charlie Daniels Band/Bret Michaels/The Marshall Tucker Band concert scheduled for Friday, May 30th at 7:30PM at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre.
"I am extremely excited that three legendary bands, each with a long history of supporting our troops overseas and returning veterans, will all be performing that night," said long time concert promoter Jim Anderson of Willjam Productions.
"One of the last things Mike said to me was I have to take care of my guys," said Jack Cleary, father of Michael Cleary and founder of the 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary Memorial Fund. "This is what this foundation is setup to do."
"We are honored and proud to help support this memorial fund and keep alive the memory of a local hero who gave his life protecting ours," said LCCCA Board Chairwoman Donna Cupinski.
"The community is what supports the arena, and the arena body certainly supports the community," said Rebecca Bonnevier, SMG General Manager at Mohegan Sun Arena. "To be able to host a concert where proceeds are contributed to such a worthy cause is rewarding. We hope everyone who is a veteran, or knows a veteran, comes out to enjoy an incredible night of musical talent, and also support this great cause!"
Tickets, priced at $39.50, $49.50 and $59.50, for the show on May 30th at 7:30PM at Mohegan Sun Arena are now available at the NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena, ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at (800) 745-3000 or any Ticketmaster outlet.

The pre-show would be included with the ticket for the event and will feature live music from local artists, activities, vendors and a special ceremony honoring local servicemen and servicewomen including 1st Lieutenant Michael J. Cleary.
NBT Bank and Quaker Steak and Lube are playing a strong role locally in supporting this cause, and other area organizations are spreading the word and buying blocks of tickets to support the cause. Area media have also pledged their strong support. Opportunities are available for individuals or businesses to help support the show through sponsorships, ticket donations for local Veterans groups, volunteer services and group sales.
