Coming Soon to the FM Kirby Center- George Thorogood

Forty years strong, and still bad to the bone!
Forty years strong, and still bad to the bone!
It was announced today that legendary rockers George Thorogood & The Destroyers will bring their 40th Anniversary Tour to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on March 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. and can be purchased at the Kirby Center box office, online at www.kirbycenter.org or charge by phone at (570) 826-1100.
A special Kirby Member Pre-Sale begins this Wednesday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m.
For Thorogood and crew, the “40 Years Strong” tour is indestructible proof that staying true to one’s self, and to the music, still means something.
And with a catalog of iconic hits that includes “Who Do You Love,” “I Drink Alone,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” “Move It On Over,” “Bad To The Bone” and many more, being able to share it with audiences is what will always matter.
“I love to perform live,” Thorogood said.  “I consider my job description to be ‘live rock performer’.  When we play, whether it’s a great old theater, a brand new casino, an outdoor festival, wherever, we’re making a living doing what we love to do.  And people love what it is we're doing.
“We’ve worked hard over the past 40 years to get to this point, and we’re proud to be here.”
Together with The Destroyers, Thorogood has released 16 studio albums -- two that were certified Platinum and six that have been certified Gold -- and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
