Bucknell to host KINBER Community Day (Change of Date)

Leaders from the Bucknell and KINBER communities will discuss the benefits of a next generation broadband network on healthcare, education, library, public media, economic development, governmental, and other organizations.
 Bucknell University will host KINBER Community Day Thursday, Aug. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hunt Hall on the Bucknell campus. [NOTE: This event has been rescheduled from July 17.]
This regional event is being held to inform and engage the community about the latest developments with KINBER, the Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research, its 1,600-mile broadband network known as PennREN, and the impact of broadband on a community. 
Leaders from the Bucknell and KINBER communities will discuss the benefits of a next generation broadband network on healthcare, education, library, public media, economic development, governmental, and other organizations. Topics include:
  • an overview of KINBER and PennREN
  • Union County update
  • Success Stories/Recent Adopters
  • the Road to Connectivity - Process and Last Mile Solutions
