On Tuesday, February 11th, the Rotary Club of Honesdale and Bold Gold Media Group has once again partnered with the American Red Cross to host the “Battle of the Sexes” Blood Donor Challenge from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lemnitzer Armory in Honesdale. “At Bold Gold Media Group we like to help the community any way we can; and this is a fun, creative, competitive way for men and women to compete … with the “winner(s)” being a blood recipient,” commented Mike Stanton, General Manager.
All presenting blood donors will be eligible to win a two-night Mountain Escape for four at Woodloch Pines Resort.  (Prizes are non transferable and not redeemable for cash)
“With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, bragging rights are at stake,” said Colin Riccobon, Spokesman for the American Red Cross. “Winter weather has affected collections, so we need to raise awareness about the need for blood to help maintain a stable blood supply.”
