Andrew Forgotch joined the Eyewitness News Team in October, 2013. He's no stranger to northeastern Pennsylvania. His parents were born, and grew up, in Mahanoy City. He also has family in Schuylkill, Northumberland, and Luzerne County.
Prior to working at Eyewitness News he spent two years as a reporter at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. While there Andrew spent most of his time covering the Morgantown beat. There he covered the problems with celebratory couch fires, West Virginia University, and a story which made national headlines, the Skylar Neese Case.
Before working in the Mountain State, Andrew worked behind the camera as an assignment editor at CBS 21 in Harrisburg.
Andrew graduated from Temple University in 2009, and grew up in Lebanon (which is 30 minutes outside of Hershey).
While not at work you might see Andrew at the hockey rink. He's an avid hockey fan, and has been a goalie since he was 6-years-old! Unfortunately for Penguins fans, Andrew loves the Hershey Bears. In the summer time he also loves watching the Philadelphia Phillies.
Andrew is a "Skook" (meaning he lives in Schuylkill County). He lives in Pottsville, just a few places down from the Yuengling Brewery with his wife, Rachel, and their English Springer Spaniel "Cookie".
Andrew is always looking for a great story. If you see him on the street feel free to say hello! If you want to get on his good side feel free to give him your best bellini recipe.
