Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County -- Maryann Poalillo of Long Pond was diagnosed with breast cancer earliin January, after her first-ever mammogram.

The 45-year-old is a waitress at Chat-N-Chew Cafe in the Blakeslee area and she says her family, friends, and costumers have helped her get through tiring rounds of radiation.

She was diagnosed with early stage DCIS and needed 33 radiation treatments. Her boss, Mike Dovidio, says she never missed a beat. She had to miss a couple shifts, but Maryann says other workers, including her son, Justin Slager, helped out. Justin also got a tattoo with the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon and his mom's name to honor her and her sense of humor during her battle.

Maryann is cancer-free and loving life with her family!
