11th Annual Penn State Lift For Life on Friday, July 12:

The Penn State Uplifting Athletes' 11th Annual Penn State Lift For Life is set for Friday, July 12, with proceeds again benefitting the Kidney Cancer Association. The event is set for 5 p.m. at the Penn State Lacrosse Field, followed by an autograph session with the Nittany Lion football team. More than 80 members of the team are expected to participate in the event.

The Penn State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $700,000 for kidney cancer patients and their families since the first Penn State Lift For Life in 2003. A minimum donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children is suggested to benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.

Penn State Uplifting Athletes officers Eric Shrive (President), Adam Gress (Vice President) and Ty Howle (Director of Operations) will be available at 3:00 p.m. at the Lasch practice fields. Shrive has personally raised more than $100,000 for Lift For Life during his Nittany Lion career.

Immediately after the Lift For Life, Shrive, Gress, Howle and Craig Fitzgerald, Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football, should be available on the Lacrosse Field. No additional players are scheduled to be available before or after Lift For Life. All the players will be participating in an autograph session with fans immediately after the event.

Parking is available in the lots south of Beaver Stadium. Please note the Central Pa. Festival of the Arts is underway and you MAY be charged $5 to park since the Stadium south lots are part of the Arts Fest shuttle bus loop.
