ALTOONA - The headliner at the 2014 Blair Co. Hall of Fame Induction needed no introduction – Penn State head football coach James Franklin.
Franklin highlighted the relationships he's built in coaching, specifically with Altoona native Brent Pry, his current linebackers coach, and Brent's dad, Jim, who coached Franklin in college.
Franklin says passionate receptions from fans like the one he got at the banquet reinforce the work to be done.
"The fans have been great,” Franklin says. “When you have 72,000 people show up at the spring game, I think that's an example of the excitement right now. I think people are looking forward to Penn State coming back to national prominence and that's where we really want to go."
As for the inductees, they're Len Zandy, Tom Wilt, Karen Gallagher, Dave Patterson, Jason Kutz, and the 1966-67 Bishop Guilfoyle boys basketball team.
