STATE COLLEGE - Penn State men's tennis is NCAA tournament bound for the first time since 2008.
It's quite the turnaround for the program.
The current seniors did not even win a single Big Ten match when they were freshmen.
It makes reaching the national tournament that much sweeter for them.
"It was special,” senior Russell Bader says of learning the Nittany Lions made the tournament field. “Something I've never experienced in my four years. It was a new feeling for me. It was special. We were really excited."
Penn State will play UNC-Wilmington in the opening round.
It's set for Saturday, May 10 at the University of Virginia.
