Woman Assaulted near Market Street Bridge

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County- Wilkes-Barre Police are investigating a sexual assault that involved a juvenile.

It happened just before 5pm Monday in Wilkes-Barre.

According to officials, the alleged assault happened at Kirby Park near the Market Street Bridge.

The suspect was described as a tall, skinny, white male, clean shaven with dirty blonde hair.

He was also missing several teeth and wearing long blue jean shorts with a white tank top.

He was also carrying a pink bag and riding a red bike.

Anyone with information is urged to call Wilkes-Barre Police or 911.

Wilkes-Barre Police have released the following information -

The Wilkes-Barre Police Department has released further details about the sexual assault that occurred near the Market Street Bridge and Kirby Park around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14th. In addition to the suspect’s description released yesterday, the unknown male has a noticeable scar on the right side of his neck that begins below his right ear and continues to his shoulder. The red bicycle described in the incident is a BMX style bike.
