WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) - It could soon be 'game-over' for all Toys-R-Us stories in the U.S.
The struggling retailer may shut down its domestic stores as early as next week. Toys-R-Us is the last megastore dedicated entirely to toys, and without it, toymakers could have a hard time selling anything, but their most popular items.
Eyewitness News stopped by the Toys-R-Us store in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, but employees could not comment on the news.
The toy industry has been seeing a decline in sales, partly because many kids are switching from physical toys to video games.
