Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County -- Thousands of people pack into the St. Nicholas Parish Bazaar every summer.

That's true again this year, but times are changing, and the Wilkes-Barre church is doing its best to keep up.

The big wheels are back after legislation blocked the bazaar from including small games of chance last year.

Bazaar Chairman Tom Meluskey said St. Nicholas is also joining forces with the growing Hispanic congregation.

Father Fidel Ticona estimates that about 700 Hispanic families have moved here over the past five years.

As many churches struggle to survive, the St. Nicholas Parish is booming, and this bazaar is a big part of that success.

The festivities wrap up Sunday at 11 p.m.
