Former White House Correspondent Visits Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A journalist with close ties to the white house returns to his alma mater this morning.
     

Gene Gibbons was a  White House Correspondent for various news outlets between 19-77 and 19-98.
   

He stopped by the University of Scranton -- his alma mater-- to have breakfast with students, staff and members of the community.


    He shared stories about the presidents he's covered-- including--- Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.


    He gave his insight into the Trump administration.
"I think that president trump does speak his mind he is constantly tweeting and i don't think that is a good idea. I think the office demands a decorum the president is missing and i think somethings you can't what you think."
 
    Gibbons says his favorite president's he's covered is George Bush senior-- who he still keeps in touch with!
