Scranton woman charged with child endangerment

A woman faces charges after her baby was badly burned in Scranton.

Police arrested 21 year old Jasmine Rogers

Rogers said she was bathing her baby last month when the infant was accidentally scalded with hot water.

The baby suffered second and third degree burns to her stomach and legs and groin, but Rogers failed to get the infant medical treatment for two weeks.

Rogers claims that she did not immediately seek medical attention for her child because of concerns that authorities would take her baby away from her.
