Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Chase and Crash

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County- A routine traffic stop led to a high speed chase in Luzerne County on Friday night. Police took the suspect in custody after he crashed the car he was driving head on with police cruiser.
  The chase started Second Avenue in Kingston and then weaved through the streets into Wilkes-Barre and Hanover Township. The suspect crashed his car head-on with a police car near Burger King off of the San Souci highway around 8:00 pm.  He was taken to the hospital for treatment for a cut on his head. The suspect also admitted that the license plate on the car he was driving was stolen.
