Pennsylvania has a state dog, it's the Great Dane. We even have a state fossil, the Trilobite. Now we have an offical aircraft. Friday the Governor designated the Piper J-3 cub as the state plane. The legislation was sponsored by State Representative, Mike Hanna of Clinton County. The Piper J-3 was built in Clinton County and used by the U.S. Armed Forces during World War Two. The plane is easily recognizable by its fuselage's famous standard yellow paint, known as "Lock Haven Yellow".
