"One Less Tear Concert" Benefits the Fight Against Cancer

Union County- The One Less Tear Concert for Cancer was held in Lewisburg on Saturday.  Several bands took the stage at Ard's Market on Route 45. Proceeds go to "One Less Tear" -- a cancer fighting organization backed by famous musicians. Organizers auctioned off three autographed guitars by a number of music icons including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and .38 Special. CD's produced by "One Less Tear" were also handed out as a way to help those fighting cancer.
The Rev. Ricky Phillips is the  Event Organizer he told Eyewitness News "So they will receive that cd to give to somebody with Cancer or if they have Cancer themselves to give them hope. And this foundation has raised over a million dollars for Cancer research." Organizers expected to raise several thousand dollars at Saturday’s event.
