Newsmakers To Feature Northeast Regional Cancer Institute

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute will be the featured topic on this Sunday's Newsmakers on WBRE TV. Senior producer Jayne Ann Bugda and I-Team Reporter, Andy Mehalshick host the monthly public affairs program.

Joining Bugda and Mehalshick will be Bob Durkin, President of The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, Dr. Samuel Lesko, Medical and Research Director of Cancer Institute, and Susan Belin, Board Member and founding member of the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.

Since 1991 the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute has studied cancer trends in our region. The panel will discuss history of the Cancer Institute from its humble beginnings and how its grown over the years to meet the needs of the community.  The guests will talk about its many programs that are aimed at educating the community in the fight against cancer.

The group will also discuss the cancer trends in the region. The discussion will also focus on the research and studies at the Cancer Institute and how this information helps ease the burden of cancer in our area.

Newsmakers will air this Sunday, November 13th at 5:30 am and 11 am on WBRE.

Newsmakers will rebroadcast on WBRE on Sunday, November , 20th at 5:30 a.m.

The program will also air on WYOU on Saturday, November 19th at 6 am.
