Newsmakers to Air Sunday, May 12 Topic: Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness is the topic of this Sunday's Newsmakers.  The monthly public affairs program is hosted by Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and the I-Team's Andy Mehalshick.  Andy and Jayne Ann are joined by Beth Hollinger, Crisis and Case Management Services Supervisor, Community Counseling Services; Joyce Castle, Greenhouse Center and co-chair of the Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health Planning Committee; and Ruth Helgemo, veteran advocate and member of National Alliance on Mental Illness Wilkes-Barre Chapter.

   The panel will discuss mental health recovery and other issues dealing with mental health.  The program is very educational and informative for those living with or who have a loved one with mental illness.  They will also talk about the upcoming Walk Recovery and  Mental Health Awareness fair  on May 19th.

Newsmakers airs Sunday, May 12th at 6:30  a.m. on WYOU and will be re-broadcasted on WBRE at 11 a.m.

Walk Begins  at noon at the Guard Insurance Group parking lot, River and W. Market streets, Wilkes-Barre.   The program will follow at Kirby Park
