WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)- A man from Lackawanna County is now facing homicide charges after police say he beat a man to death.

Bradley Butler, 42, is accused of assaulting Charles Eget, 64, back on October 20 in Lebanon County.

Officials say Eget offered Butler a ride, starting in Luzerne County, however, Butler later forced Eget to drive to a remote area where the assault took place.

Butler was then involved in a crash on Route 118 in Columbia County, where police say he assaulted Eget again in a private driveway.

Eget was found in the trunk of his vehicle in Bethel Township with blunt force trauma to the head. Butler remains locked up.
