Crossing the finish line at the mainline 5k at Montage Mountain Sunday, was a small obstacle for Michelle Lewis.
"I heard her cheering and its a good feeling it really is."
The Mainline 5k , is the first race of the Black Diamond Running series.
It benefits the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute's Spirit of Hope Celebration.
They help low income and uninsured and underinsured people get needed cancer screenings.
A foundation close to Michelle's Heart.
Kelly King of Luzerne is no stranger to running marathons, but says Sunday's course for the Mainline 5k was definitely a challenge.
"The hills , there was like hill after hill after hill."
King added "You just really had to pace yourself cause you had to get your breathing down so that was probably the most challenging thing."
For this group of friends, support was all they needed to cross the finish line.
"It's just a great feeling just an accomplishment that you just root on people. It's not just an individual thing." noted King
