Hanover Township, Luzerne County - Two local ladies are leaving bright and early Wednesday morning for a national gymnastics competition.  Juniors Kirah "Lilo" Coshinsky and Gianna Plaksa are both headed to Mississippi for a level 10 national competition.

The girls are two of the gymnasts chosen from 6 states to be selected for the regional team of 7 members.  They both practice more than 20 hours a week all year long at Northeast Gymnastics in Hanover Township and are excited for their biggest competition of the year.

Coshinsky says "we've been doing a lot more routines I would say and a little more endurance to try and get us ready for our routine so we are not so out of breath and just ready for the next competition."  "We've just been having a lot of fun in the gym because it's our last meet of the year, so it's just all about having fun," adds Plaska.  Both girls have competed in the national competition in years past.

This year the 17-year-olds will take part in vault, bars, beam, and  floor routines.  Coshinsky competes on Friday and Plaksa on Sunday.  Best of luck ladies!
