Kingston man's rant leads to his arrest

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) -  A rant against police on social media ends up backfiring on a Back Mountain man.

Police arrested 31-year-old Adam Cottle, of Shavertown, Saturday night.

Officers say Cottle was bashing law enforcement for making marijuana possession arrests.

Investigators who spotted the posts did a background check and determined Cottle was wanted on an outstanding felony drug warrant.

Police say they found him at a bar with marijuana in his possession.

As of Sunday morning, Cottle is behind bars in lieu of $50,000 bail in Luzerne County.
