Montrose, Susquehanna County- State police have arrested a Kingsley man in connection with a deadly crash that killed a six month old girl.

Zachary LaRue was arraigned on charges of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and careless driving Tuesday morning in Montrose.

On September 2nd, troopers say LaRue was involved in a three car crash on Route 92 in Lenox Township.

A six month old baby, Lainey Johnson, was seriously injured and died at a hospital near Danville three days later.

Prosecutors say they believe LaRue was driving roughly 71 miles per hour into a curve when the wreck happened. Prosecutors also say LaRue was already on probation at the time for another DUI offense from 2012.

LaRue's attorney says the deadly wreck was nothing more than an accident and believes the condition of the road itself will factor into the case.

Investigators say the six month old girl died because of traumatic brain injuries and her mother suffered serious injuries, including a ruptured spleen and hip fracture.

LaRue was able to post $75,000 bail and was released from custody in Susquehanna county.
