Jury Finds Victor Hare Guilty

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) Guilty. That's the verdict a jury handed down for a Northumberland  County man in the death of a young boy. Eyewitness News Reporter Cody Butler was there when the verdict was read.

The jury  deliberated for four hours and found Victor Hare guilty.

Hare has been found guilty on six of eight charges including manslaughter and drug delivery, resulting in the death of nine year old Korbin Rager.

Hare gave the boy a deadly dose of oxycontin while he was babysitting him back in October 20-14.

On Wednesday investigators testified about the toxicology results for Korbin.

They say he had 12 times the "therapeutic" amount of oxycontin in his body when he died.

The report also says the pills were crushed before being put in his body.

Hare will be sentenced  at a later date.
