I-Team: Money Missing from FOP Lodge

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) An I-Team Exclusive: It deals with a theft investigation at a Fraternal Order of Police Lodge in Luzerne County... Sources close to the case tell the I-Team's Andy Mehalshick that between $25,000 to $30,000 went missing from the F.O.P. Lodge.  Member of the lodge, many of them police officers..want answers...

The I-team has conifirmed that questions about the financial operations of the Wyoming Valley F.O.P. Lodge began several years ago....
"There definetly was a theft." said Joe Mangan

Mangan is President of the F.O.P. Social Club. He says they realized something was wrong as far back as two years ago..

"An audit was completed and we turned that information over to state police they are now taking that investigation further from there." said Mangan

The F.O.P. Lodge is home to the union that represents police officers across the Wyoming Valley but Mangan says the missing money is not from union funds..it is from the social club...
"Our club involves more than just police officer. We ave assocaite members who are members of the public. So it's open to who could have taken the money."
The FOP is cooperating with State Police who are now investigating.
