Wright Township, Luzerne County--    The I-Team has confirmed that Wright Township police are expected to make arrests in the near future of students involved in the selling and/or trading of prescription drugs in the Crestwood Area High School. The probe began when school administrators intercepted prescription pills being given or sold within the high school last week. Officer David Winsock told Eyewitness News, "We have already interviewed several suspects..three or four--about the situation and charges are forthcoming. I can also confirm that several suspects are senior students and over 18 years of age.." Carmen Ambrosino, C.E.O of Wyoming Valley Alcohol and Drug Services sad, "I'm really not surprised. Prescription drug use and abuse among high school students is an epidemic. I hope that parents will use this as a chance to intervene and not sweep it under the rug."...
Crestwood School District officials told Eyewitness News they would not comment at this point in time since the police investigation is ongoing.
