Homicide Charges Filed In Shooting Death Of 18 Year Old Wilkes-Barre Man

Wilkes-Barre police say 18 year old Christopher Narainasami was in the wrong place at the wrong time last September when he encountered Jordan Stevens at the Boulevard Townhomes in Wilkes-Barre-- Police say Stevens shot Narainasami several times for some yet unknown reason- Narainasami and two friends had just walked by Stevens when Stevens allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire--- He also hit Alexander Torres-Silva in the hip--he survived his injuries--  Stevens was picked up on a parole violation shortly after the killing and remains locked up at the Columbia County Prison-he will be arraigned on homicide charges in Wilkes-Barre Thurday before District Judge Martin Kane-- A resident of the Boulevard Townhomes reacted to the arrest-"It is such a waste of life--to be lost in such way is so sad-"Other residents did not want to speak to us fearing for their own safety---
