Here's the Scoop! We All Scream for Ice Cream

After a long brutal winter ..  temperatures near 80 are welcome and so is an ice cream treat!

From the traditional banana split .. to vanilla milkshake
Blue Ribbon Dairy in Exeter has been scooping out homemade ice cream since 1945.
Chrissy Campenni of West Pittson says it's a staple in the community.

"I go for anything mocha flavor right now my favorite is the fudge brownie that's really good,  but everything is so good here  "

There are more than 65 flavors of ice cream to choose from at Blue Ribbon Dairy --all homemade.

Ann Sorick, the Co Owner Blue Ribbon Farm  Dairy told Eyewitness News
" My husband and his workers make the mix from scratch and from the mix the ice cream is made and we run the ice cream machine every single day"

If you're wondering what makes those sweet treats unique.....Sorick let us in on a little secret.
"All the inclusions that go into our ice cream our from Gertrude Hawk so that's why the chocolate pieces are so good"
Just down the road in Plains Township ..
Sprinkles and Shakes Ice Cream and Grill  is also serving up home made frozen favorites ..  but with a twist.

Barton J Weidlich - owner Sprinkles & Shakes Ice Cream & Grill told us.
"Some of the highlights are my homemade brownies to cheesecakes I do my own strawberry and blue berry sauces here and an old family recipe that we use "

While everyone screams for their home made ice cream in Plains  ..
They also serve other tasty favorites.
"We also do potato pancakes we also have Italian Ice and we are going to be starting with some food very soon  "  Noted Weidlich.
