Around two inches of rain overnight caused a headache on the morning commute.
On business Route 6 in Eynon, a hillside near the Archbald pothole gave way Wednesday morning.
"We got all the rain last night and everything just washed out in the ditch there." said Tom Boland of PennDOT
Police arrived around 6 and PennDOT crews were there shortly after.
The washout only caused minor traffic stops... While crews worked to clear the road... Some debris flowed into a nearby parking lot.
The small washout doesn't surprise Carbondale resident Michele Bannon.
"It was coming down pretty hard during the night, so I wasn't surprised when i came upon this."
In the immediate area, overnight rains haven't caused significant damage but one PennDOT crew told Eyewitness News Reporter Bill Hughes that they expect to see some more weather related calls throughout the day."
PennDOT crews put finishing touches on the clean-up shortly after 8 this morning.
