Hazleton Police Investigate Attempted Bank Robbery

Hazleton, Luzerne County- Hazleton City Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery at the FNCB Bank on West Broad Street.  According to Hazleton City Police a man walked into the bank wearing a mask, baseball hat, and white rimmed sunglasses and all black clothing.  Police say he attempted to enter the bank by pulling on the secure vestibule door.  When he was seen by bank employees he left the bank.  Police are asking anyone with information to call Hazleton Police or 9-1-1.

Attempted Robbery at Hazleton FNCB Stopped by Security Measures
An attempted bank robbery at First National Community Bank’s (FNCB) Hazleton Community Office was prevented this afternoon by security measures in place at the bank.
The attempted robbery at the branch, located at 340 West Broad St., was stopped when the suspect failed to gain entry into the bank.
