Some Lawmakers want to start taxing the Marcellus Shale industry like other states do. They proposed a new tax they say would bring in hundreds of millions of dollars. Drew speier has more in this week's generations of energy.
 Senator John Yudichak is one state lawmaker who is pushing to drill revenue from the natural gas industry. He says Pennsylvania is losing $720 million dollars every year by having the tax. The severance tax already exists in other states that drill shale .

 Some like Governor Tom Corbett and other republican leaders -- oppose the tax. They fear it may discourage coming to the Commonwealth.  But the head of Northeast Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center says there are plenty of other reasons to drill in Pennsylvania.
