Here's what we are working on for Eyewitness News for March 21, 2014.
Good News- to share- Newsmakers- our Public Affairs Program was honored last night by the Arc of Luzerne County. They presented hosts- Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda (me) and the I-Team's Andy Mehalshick with Their Community Education and Awareness Award.
We are very, very honored to receive this wonderful award- thank you.
I will have more on the the Arc Event on the website- Stay Tuned.
Eyewitness News at 7 pm on WYOU will not be seen tonight or tomorrow due to the NCAA Basketball Tournaments.
And if you are a fan of "Young and the Restless" and "Bold and Beautiful" (some good story lines- love it)- the soaps will resume on Monday! We didn't miss a thing!

On Sunday, March 23rd, support the local literary arts and join The Writers' Circle of Wayne County at The Cooperage on 1030 Main Street in Honesdale for the Local Authors Reading and book sale. You'll get a chance to hear from several local authors as they read selections from their latest works.
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women's Networking Committee is holding their second in a series of woman's networking luncheon programs for 2014 this Tuesday, March 25th from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Ovalon Restaurant located at 252 Wyoming Street in Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by Hawk Mtn Labs and it is open for any woman to attend.

In the PA Live Kitchen- Chef Jim Guasto from 279 Bar and Grill located in Plains. Chef Jim will be preparing a wonderful lenten dish: Vegetable Risotto.
We will liven things up with a live performance by Whiskey Tango.
PA Live Movie Guy- JW Colwell is joining us via Skype to talk about The Muppets new movie and the sci-fi flick Divergent.

The Old Forge Girls Basketball Team is heading to the Hershey for the state championship game. Eric Deabill has their story.
A nurse is facing charges of stealing drugs from patients at a nursing home. The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick will talk with a family member of one of the patients.
An area couple who trains Seeing Eye Dogs will be featured this weekend on Animal Planet. Mark Hiller has one cute story for us.
Williamsport Area High School students are inviting the community to join in on a global art movement as they attempt to turn the City of Williamsport "inside out," one face, one story at a time. Valerie Tysanner will have the story

"Dateline" deals with a dead school superintendent… (8pm) while "Hannibal" deals with a body found in a meadow----oh, the head has been turned into a beehive. (WBRE)
