Program reminder: The Big Brothers – Big Sisters program is the focus of Newsmakers this month. The public affairs program is hosted by Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and the I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick.
Bugda and Mehalshick will have as their guests, Tanya Olaviany- Big Brothers Big Sisters Program Director, Ben Nicolosi - Big Brother-Big Sisters program and his Little Brother -"Andrew”. Ben and Andrew will talk about their experience as a Big and Little Brother in the program. Olaviany will talk about the history of the program and the need for volunteers-of all ages. This edition of Newsmakers will air Sunday, June 8th at 6:30 am on WYOU. The program will re-broadcast on Sunday, June 22 on WBRE at 11:30 am

Coming on June 16 on WYOU- Coming Clean: True Stories of Prescription Drug Addiction- 7:30 pm-- Eyewitness News I-Team Reporter Laurie Monteforte takes an unprecedented look at how one little pill can lead to lives changing and unraveling in a matter of weeks. We will hear from young people-whose journey into prescription drug addiction lead them to selling drugs and themselves for that next high. We will also hear from investigators who show how one person can make a difference in stopping drug trafficking in our communities.
