  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  August 13, 2014. 

 Bob Bee- aka Mr. Bee our General Manager
will be taking the Ice Bucket to help raise money for ALS -Lou Gehrig's Disease.
  Last night our Brittany Sweeney accepted the challenge and challenged Mr. Bee-  It will happen during our 5 pm Newscast!  Several other of the Eyewitness News Team Members are also taking the challenge - as well!

  The conversation about suicide and mental illness has started in light of the recent death of actor Robin Williams.  Please know there is help available-

  *The NAMI Scranton Area Support group meets 3 times a month on the 2nd & 4th Monday and the 3rd Thursday.Monday night meetings are held at 7 p.m. at The Advocacy Alliance Media Building (TAA) at 841 Jefferson Avenue Scranton
and Thursday night meetings are at 6:30 p.m. at NHS at 30-32 North Main Street Carbondale.  These meetings are free and open to anyone who has a mental illness and/or their friends and family. Please feel free to call the NAMI Scranton office at 570-342-1047 for more information

Pennsylvania College of Technology students studying to become physician assistants, paramedics and dental hygienists are lending their hands and gaining valuable cultural and practical experience at the 2014 Little League Baseball World Series.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend a Community Dog Walk being hosted by Mystic Power Yoga this Sunday, August 17th. The walk will be lead by Local Dog Trainer " Arthur Bruno" and the event will benefit the Hazleton Animal Shelter.
