     Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for     April 4, 2014.
   April 4th is  National Walk to Work Day -
Yesterday- was national run to the PA Live Set because Dairy Queen stopped by -and Caitlin Rowe and I did not want the ice cream to melt- so we indulged-ice cream cake and more!  Hey- under those hot studio lights the ice cream didn't have a chance- we are just doing our part!

   A lot of College Campus News today!

   Wilkes University's Zebra Communications, the student-run public relations agency at Wilkes, will host "An Old Hollywood Gala" in the lobby of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center, on the corner of South and River Streets, on Thursday, April 10 from 7 to 10 P.M. The fundraising event will benefit the Embrace a Child in Tanzania campaign, to raise money to support four children who have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS in Karagwe, Tanzania.

The Drs. Robert S. and Judith A. Gardner Education Forum at Wilkes University recently hosted guest speaker Karen Lindsay on March 25 as part of the forum's spring lecture series. Lindsay spoke to an audience of certified teachers, Wilkes faculty, and pre-service teachers about the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's policy regarding the mandatory reporting of child abuse.

The 2nd annual Chic Peek Fashion Show and Trunk Sale at Misericordia University recently raised more than $450 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation while raffling off more than $1,000 worth of gift baskets from regional businesses.

     A very sad day in Rush Township- three children passed away in a house fire. We have team coverage with Mark Hiller and Valerie Tysanner.

    Eric Deabill continues his coverage of the charges filed against a Scranton Diocese Priest.  It is a story Eric first told us about during Eyewitness News at 11 pm on Thursday.
