On Saturday, April 12- The I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick will be the host of the Family Service Association of NEPA’s Carnival of Love Celebrating Families Gala and Auction at The Hotel at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
Rt. 315, Wilkes- Barre, PA -6:00-11:00 PM. Proceeds will go towards the many programs and services offered by the Family Service Association of NEPA- the people who bring us Helpline!
On Sunday, April 13- Join Brittany Sweeney and her puppy Valentine for the Tails for Troops event. The Event takes place at the Abington Dog Park in Clarks Summit at 1 pm and benefits Operation Tails for Troops. There will be lots of fun activities for you and your pet. Plus the money raised helps to provide service dogs to area veterans.
Newsmakers ventures into the construction zone this Sunday, April 13. The monthly public affairs program will feature PennDOT. Newsmakers is hosted by Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and the I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick. Bugda and Mehalshick will have as their guests, Rick Mason and James May, PennDOT Public Information Officers and Michael Taluto and David Thompson- PennDOT Safety Officers.
The panel will discuss the upcoming Spring and Summer Road Construction projects, Safety on the road, and how the community can be part of one of the many roadway cleanup programs. Newsmakers Airs Sunday, April 13 at 6:30 am on WYOU and at 11:30 am on WBRE.

On Air! -WCLH, Wilkes University’s student-run radio station will celebrate 40 years of service to the community with a special event. The 40 Years Locked event will be held on Friday, April 25th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Henry Student Center Ballroom.
The Central PA Chamber of Commerce and its Central PA Business & Education Association will be holding a Community Yard Sale the same weekend as the popular Milton Community Yard Sale, May 2 and 3.
On Wednesday, May 28, local historian John Revak will premiere “Northeastern Pennsylvania in Stereo,” a narrated ride along the Delaware & Hudson Gravity Railroad using stereoviews enhanced with modern 3-D technology at the Lackawanna Historical Society’s Catlin House, 232 Monroe Avenue, Scranton. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
